While Meghan is, of course, more American than Canadian, she has spent a lot of time north of the border. There was her six-year stint living in Toronto while starring in Suits, for example. And, rather sweetly, Meghan and Harry have made special memories in Canada, too.

So, would Canada welcome the royals with open arms? It seemed like it. When the couple visited the country in December 2019, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted to the Sussexes, “Prince Harry, Meghan and Archie, we wish you a peaceful and blessed stay in Canada.”
