20. Cork labels

Don’t you love when botanical gardens have these handy posters next to each plant that indicate what it’s all about?

You may think you don’t need them in your backyard, but you’ll be amazed at how easily your shrubs can mingle as they begin to grow and screw each other. A great way to make these posters at home is to tie an old wine cork to a skewer, label it and plant it on the floor. Not only will you be able to easily remember which floor it is, but it will add an instant style to any garden.
