In December 2018 an anonymous source told The Sun that Meghan had overstepped boundaries with Kate’s own courtiers. Kate had told the other woman, “That’s unacceptable. They are my staff, and I talk to them.”

However, once Harry and Meghan explained that they would no longer be working for the royals, they turned their attention to the press. Through their representatives, they sent a statement to British tabloids, including the Daily Mail and The Sun.
